PR – The Ministry of Mental Health, Wellness, and Religious Affairs wishes to inform the public that, effective Monday September 28, 2026, renovation works will commence on Block C of the Mt. Gay Psychiatric Hospital located in Mt. Gay, St. George.
Therefore, all patients in Block C will be relocated to a newly renovated block on the said compound at the hospital to facilitate the renovations.
Please be advised that All visitors wishing to visit their relatives and friends are asked to call the hospital in advance to make visitation arrangements. This is necessary to facilitate the refurbishment works at the hospital. This refurbishment forms part of the Government of Grenada’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the country’s health infrastructure and improve the quality of healthcare services.
The Ministry assures clients, their families and the public that Mental Health Services will continue without interruption during the duration of the refurbishment.
