The question is often asked, how does one boost their immune system in a time like this?
Well, the Grenada Food and Nutrition Council (GFNC) is on a drive to educate members of the public on healthy eating and foods that help boost immunity.
Protecting oneself and their families from the dreaded COVID-19 virus is of paramount importance at this time.
Nutritionist and Executive Secretary at the GFNC, Lydia Browne, says once individuals have a good immune system their body will be able to fight off viruses.
The slogan “eating local” comes into play when dealing with various kinds of ailments.
And, the GFNC says eating our local fruits and vegetables can play a major role in boosting our immune system.
Browne went on to say that foods that are high in antioxidants should also be consumed at this time.
