With the latest improvement in the COVID situation here, relative to the recent spike in cases and deaths, Tourism Minister, Dr. Clarice Modeste, tells the Nation, Grenada may have won a battle, but the war in not yet over.
She was making her contribution in the Lower House of Parliament this morning where the motion for the extension of the State of Emergency to 1st May, 2022, received unanimous approval.
Dr. Modeste noted that itโs up to everyone to understand and be cognizant of what the country has gone through in the recent circumstances.
She makes the appeal for citizens to rely on the science that provides information pertaining to behavioral responsibility.
Dr. Modeste indicated that the people in the frontline have had it very hectic for the countryโs fight with COVID to reach to this point, but thereโs no time to relax.
Health Minister, Nikolas Steele, made note that while Grenada can speak about having gotten the spiked-up situation somewhat under control, the virus still remains an imminent threat, since it continues ravaging countries around the World.
He says the time has not yet come for any celebration but to remain on guard.
Steele went further to reiterate thereโs still need for the State of Emergency.
