There are reports of Grenada feeling the slight jolt of an earthquake this afternoon.
A 4.9 magnitude quake occurred 30 kilometers ENE of St. George’s, Grenada earlier this afternoon at around 1:16 pm.
That’s according to preliminary results found on the UWI Seismic Research Centre facebook page.
The information relayed indicated that it occurred on Latitude: 12.14N, Longitude: 61.49W with a Depth: 10 km.
It was also recorded 116 km SSW of Kingstown, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and 135 km NW of Scarborough, Trinidad and Tobago.
The UWI Seismic Research Centre says this preliminary result may vary when new additional data is processed.
