As of next Monday January 10 all of the nation’s students will be returning to the classroom for face-to-face in-person classes.
Grenada’s Acting Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Shawn Charles, has given his full support to this move.
During the weekly post cabinet briefing yesterday, Dr. Charles noted that the COVID-19 pandemic is continuing to do severe harm to the nation’s children, depriving them of that in-person instruction.
The Chief Medical Officer added that the government cannot discount the importance of the return to the physical classroom.
He underscored that many countries with more serious outbreaks than Grenada are making it a priority.
The CMO says there are students who have not received any instructions for quite some time, for varying reasons, and further delaying this process would harm their learning development.
