The sweet-sounding voice of Grenada’s native son, Jeverson Ramirez, with his new single, “Something’ in the Water”, which is to be released Friday, February 18.

It’s the artiste’s fifth original work, written by Jeverson, co-written and produced by Nick Lotto.

The song was recorded in Grenada at Blue Hide Studios.

REPORT:

Inspired with the love for his homeland, the song, “Something in the Water” is an ode to the world-famous white-sand beaches, the friendly and relaxed Island vibe, and the “magic” in the water that surrounds Grenada..

Being Grenadian, according to Jeverson, is a vibe that he wanted to capture the chill-island-time sensation, the easy-going nature he gets being home.

Over the past 10 years, Jeverson has become a household name and a sought-after performer at many of Grenada’s most distinguished events, including the “Pure Grenada Music Festival”.

Jeverson also represented Grenada at the Beijing Horticulture Exposition in 2019 and the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, through the song “Inspired,” recorded with fellow Grenadian artiste, Sabrina Francis.

Although Jeverson has performed regularly at top venues throughout Grenada for the past 10 years, he only started writing and recording his own music in 2018, following an encounter with Nashville-based music publisher/producer, Russ Zavitson on Grand Anse Beach.

According to Jeverson, the quarantine brought about with the Covid-19 experience actually gave him space to practice and hone his newfound craft.

He was signed to the internationally-renowned Creative Artistes Agency out of Los Angeles, California September 2021.

Jeverson, we understand, is currently working on additional music and making plans for a US tour in March this year. (MUSIC)
