Some 54 events were on the table today in the Republic Bank Grenada Limited Inter-collegiate Secondary School (INTERCOL) games.
Though the weather was not ideal, the games got underway at the Kirani James Athletics Stadium.
It is understood some 17 schools participated in today’s event.
Some of the noticeable absent schools were the Mac Donald College, the St. Joseph Convent Grenville, St. Marks Secondary and the Grenville Secondary among others.
Sports minister Yolande Bain-Horford says the hosting of the games today was a stepping stone for students.

1st place St. David’s Catholic Secondary on 83 points
2nd St. Andrews Anglican Secondary School 23 points
3rd Anglican high School on 22 points
4th Hillsborough secondary on 15 points
5th St. Joseph’s Convent St. George 13 points
6th Bishops College Carriacou 12 points
7th Boca secondary 8 points
8th The Happy Hill Secondary School and St. Johns Christians secondary school on 6 points each

1st Grenada Boys Secondary School on 34points
2nd Hillsborough secondary on 31 points
3rd St. David’s Catholic Secondary on 27 points
4th Bishops College 17 points
5th The St. Andrews Anglican Secondary School and the Presentation Brothers College 15points
