Jamora Alves from the sister isles of Carriacou is making a name for herself in Jamaica.
Alves recently moved to Jamaica on an athletic scholarship.
She is a past student of Bishop’s College.
Yesterday she represented St. Jago High School and won GOLD in the Class 1 Girls’ Discus Throw at the Boys & Girls Champs in Jamaica.
Jamora, won the event with a throw of 48.13 metres.
She’s also into the finals of the Javelin today and the Shot Put on Saturday.
