The Grenada Cabinet has approved a sub-committee to look into the creation of criteria for the delivery of Chinese-donated affordable houses.
The houses given to Grenada are a gift from the Government and People of China, based on an agreement by the two countries in 2005, establishing diplomatic relations.
Since then several hundreds of apartment-like houses have been built.
Minister of Housing, Phillip Telesford, tells us that they want to ensure every Grenadian get an equal chance in applying for a house.
Telesford noted that the Grenada Cabinet thought it best to reopen the application process.
