GRENADA TO ALLOW CANNABIS USE FOR MEDICINAL PURPOSES BY NEXT DECEMBER

0

By December next year, the Grenadian Government intends to present legislation to Parliament to legalize cannabis for medicinal purposes.

This is according to Minister for Agriculture and Lands, Senator Adrian Thomas, who, as the Leader of Government Business in the Senate, opened debate there yesterday on the 2023 Budget.

Thomas says the idea started way back in the NDC administration of 2008 to 2013.

He noted that a Secretariat will be open in January so that the necessary work can be done, so as to set things in motion.
