PRIVATE MEMBERS BILL FOR A REVIEW OF COMPENSATION TO FARMERS FOR LOSS OF DAME TO CROPS AGAIN PUT ON HOLD

0

The Farmers Senate Representative’s request for a review of compensation to farmers in the case of loss of crops by natural and other disasters like praedial larceny etc, has again been put on hold.

Senator Roderick St. Clair with his Private Member’s bill in this regard, has been influenced to allow further discussion and consultation on the matter.

This was one of the finer reasons why the Bill which he presented did not go through the last sitting, as it relates to more information in the scheme of this.

After debate on either side, the general feeling is that more time should be given in the scrutiny of all avenues and more consultation in dealing with the draft Bill.

Senator Roderick St. Clair, however, submitted to the arguments and again allows for more time for greater discussion and consultation as it relates to the Bill.
