Reporting in the Senate today on the recent dispute between Republic Bank and striking staff over a new collective working agreement, Labour Minister, Claudette Joseph, noted the situation at the institution back to normalcy, with both parties seeking to rebuilding relationship.
Mediating in the process, Senator Joseph did explain the course of things after some 16 days of unease, where the parties were able to resolve the matter.
Senator Joseph says the Bank has given the assurance it’ll put measures in place to reintegrate a harmonious working relationship.
In observing the dispute, she realizes the need for the the Ministry to analyze the current labour laws.
Senator Claudette Joseph commenting on the recent industrial dispute between Republic Bank and several of its staff in pursuit of a new collective agreement, which is to be signed in due course.
She also reported on the state of play relative to the several rounds of consultation on minimum wage revision.
