The Ministry of finance has sent out notice advising the public of a correction concerning the retail price of the 100lb Cylinder of L.P.G (cooking gas), effective August 18, 2023.
The price as stated in the August 18 update for the 100lb cylinder of cooking gas on mainland Grenada was $221.30.
The Ministry of Finance in its updated release dispatched today noted the corrected retail price as $244.25, showing an increase in the price of the product, on mainland Grenada.
Also, the corrected version shows an increase in the price for the 100lb cylinder of cook gas in Carriacou.
It’s to be sold at $267.25, instead of the $234.30 as it was stipulated in the August 18 adjustment.
According to the release, the initial Petroleum Price Change Notice, which was disseminated on the morning of Wednesday August 17, 2023 was corrected by a subsequent notice disseminated on the evening of the same day.
However, the reissuance of the notice has caused some confusion which is now been clarified.
The Ministry of Finance apologies for any inconvenience caused.
