The Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF) says an investigation is underway relative to the death of a female yesterday at a hotel in the south of the island.
The RGPF, in a release, made note of possible drowning incident at the hotel.
Police say they responded to reports of a drowning around 10 minutes pass 5 yesterday morning.
Preliminary reports suggest that the deceased went swimming in the hotel pool when she encountered difficulties in the water.
The deceased was retrieved from the pool and CPR was administered, but she was unresponsive.
She was subsequently pronounced dead by a medical doctor.
Police have stated that the circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation; and therefore, no further information can be disclosed at this time.
