THE WORK OF VISITING GRENADIAN DELEGATION OF THE BRITISH ARMED FORCES RECOGNIZED

The work conducted here by Grenadian servicemen in the British Armed Forces who were in Grenada for the 50th Independence celebrations is being remembered.
The 5-member delegation visited Grenada between 31st January and 21st February and while here they were engaged in many activities.
They assisted the independence celebration’s National Organizing Committee by providing medical support during the parade on 7th February.
They also took the opportunity to meet with Resident British Commissioner to Grenada, Victor Clark.
While here they were engaged in training sessions with a number of educational institutions and community organizations, the St. Andrews Anglican Secondary School, Bridge Inc and the Birchgrove Community Council Group.
They also held audience with the Commissioner of Police Don McKenzie and other members of the RGPF.
Discussion centered around plans for future training.
The British Armed Forces Grenadian team is reported to have held a three-day hands-on workshop which included battlefield casualty drills and basic life support training with members of the Special Service Unit (SSU).
