As part of their shared commitment to environmental sustainability, the Grenada Hotel and Tourism Association (GHTA) and the Grenada Solid Waste Management Authority (GSWMA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at enhancing recycling efforts for plastic waste across Grenada.
The signing on Monday is said to have strengthened the partnership between the two organizations aimed at addressing the pressing issue of plastic pollution in Grenada.
Under the agreement, GHTA pledges to assist in the bulk collection of plastic waste from member hotels, facilitating its transportation to the Queen’s Park collection site managed by GSWMA.
CEO of the GHTA, Arlene Friday, says they’re happy to support an initiative that will create a safer environment for all.
General Manager of the Solid Waste Management Authority, Lyndon Robertson, expresses gratitude for the invaluable support extended by the hotel sector towards the initiative.
