The Royal Grenada Police Force says it acknowledges the public’s concerns regarding the apparent surge in gun-related violence, especially over the past weeks.

This is according to a statement released quite recently by Police Superintendent Issau Pierre in charge of operations, and looking at the separate instances of gun tragedies that have reared its ugly head.

Superintendent Pierre says in response to the crimes, the RGPF is continually adjusting its strategy to enhance its presence and effectiveness in keeping the country safe.

The RGPF official says steps have been taken to address the situation, which also involves an ongoing assessment of policing strategy to ensure its adequacy in effectively responding to the current realities.

He further stated that they’re paying greater attention to firearm interdiction.
