The Government of Grenada has endorsed the statement made by the Chairman of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), Honourable Mia Mottley of Barbados, calling for a “peaceful and lawful completion of the electoral process in Guyana”.
Prime Minister, Dr. The Right Honourable Keith Mitchell has echoed the call for the democratic process to prevail and he reiterated the need for vote counting to resume in the disputed region and for this to be done in utmost transparency.
Dr. Mitchell said the Statement of Polls, as the instrument which gives authenticity to the vote count, must reflect the accurate and complete tabulation of results and the counting of votes must resume to achieve this.
