Visitation at the Richmond Hill Prison has been suspended until further notice.
From what we understand inmates will be not be allowed visits from family members or friends, nor will there be church visitations on the weekends.
The suspension went into effect as of today.
A notice was sent to all officers advising them of the temporary protection measures.
It reads “Please be advised with immediate effect, there will be no visit for inmates or visitation until further notice”.
According to reports it’s all part of measures aimed at reducing transmission within the prison population in the event Grenada has a positive confirmation of Covid-19.
