Two men have been formally charged following a weekend drug bust that netted 419 pounds of compressed cannabis (estimated street value $950 292.00 ECC) and the seizure of a fishing vessel.
Kenton Roberts, 32 years, Mason of Grenville (St. Andrew) and Rennie Cruickshank, 39, of Ashton, Union Island were nabbed during an early morning police operation at Palmiste, St. John on Saturday 16th May, 2020.
Both men appeared at the Gouyave Magistrate’s Court on Monday 18th May, 2020, jointly charged with Trafficking of a Controlled Drug.
Roberts has been granted 200-hundred thousand dollars bail with 2 sureties.
He has been ordered to surrender all travel documents and report to the Gouyave Police Station every Monday, Wednesday and Friday between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00p.m.
Cruickshank has been remanded to Her Majesty’s Prisons.
They will make their next court appearance on Friday 5th June, 2020.
Police investigations are continuing.
