REPORTS ARE THAT THE MINISTRY of Health went on a rather busy trend over the past 24 hours, on the understanding that a man slipped out of quarantine.
Police were involved in assisting the Ministry of Health in locating the individual.
It’s our understanding that he has been captured.
The man is said to have come to Grenada from Barbados, but arrived there from the UK.
Barbados was an intransit point.
On arrival in Grenada it’s reported he made a false declaration, with the presentation of a Grenada passport.
It’s believed that he deliberately misled immigration authorities into claims he came from Barbados, without declaring it was his intransit point from the UK.
Information on this was revealed by Communications Officer in the Ministry of Health, Keville Frederick, on a popular Radio programme.
He was in an emotional tone, considering arguments surrounding jab jab and their quest to play mas, despite the cancellation of carnival, which has come on the basis of the Nation’s safeguards against the Coronavirus.
Frederick warns that the carnival scene people who may be tempted to engage in unwarranted revellry, despite the cancellation of the festivity, is like taking risks with their health and their lives.
He says the news about the individual who skipped quarantine yesterday was frightening.
