It’s been made official that the farmer’s representative in the Grenada Senate, Dr. Dunstan Campbell, has resigned.
It was announced at a meeting of the Senate today that he tendered his resignation to the Governor General with immediate effect.
Dr. Campbell was appointed as a Senator on the opposite side of the Upper House, after the New National Party Government returned to Office with a clean-sweep victory in March 2018.
President of the Upper House of Parliament, Chester Humphrey, referring to Dr. Campbell’s contribution to the senate as profound, says, Dr. Campbell’s resignation is due to health challenges.
Thanking him for his unselfish service especially to the agriculture sector, Humphrey wishes Dr. Campbell well in his endeavors.

Recognizing Dr. Campbell’s contributions in the Upper House, senators regarded him as possessing a reservoir of ideas towards Agricultural development and to the development of the country at large.
