The way the established service is treated is one of concern for the Leader of the Opposition, Tobias Clement.
He was the second person today to make his contribution on the 2021 Budget.
Clement noted situations where there are Ministeries with more than one or two Permanent Secretaries, which he believes is a problem that has been created.
Clement, looking at the Budgetary theme, says he doesn’t see the innovation that should be preparing Grenada for the year 2035.
At the beginning of his presentation, he laboured for his regulation 2 hours to make his case on the Budget and was very dramatic in staking a claim for his time.
His argument related to the point he made at the end of the Budget presentation by the Finance Minister, Gregory Bowen, that he was not in a position to reply to the Budget at the resumption of proceedings last Friday because he did not have time to study the Estimates, and, was absent from the resumption of the meeting.
The Leader of the Opposition were in a discourse on this matter with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Michael Pierre, this morning.
