A few individuals today reportedly lodged a protest at the entrance of the botanical gardens enquiring about a recent letter from the major GRENLEC shareholder, WRB, which was delivered to their workers.
It speaks of the ruling of the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes as it relates to the issue between WRB and the Grenada Government over the Company.
WRB says it has entered into a settlement agreement with the Government, under which it noted it’s selling its shares in GRENLEC to the Government.
The letter has been parading on social media.
As things stand currently, the Government has not issued any statement on the matter.
The protestors today, included one-time NDC Deputy political leader, Joseph Andall, asking for a Government response or statement on the WRB-GRENLEC-Government affair.
Andall says the protest continues tomorrow.
