A Hermitage, St. Patrick resident has been arrested and charged on six counts of Money Laundering and Stealing, by Reason of Employment.
The report relates to cash in the amount of one hundred and thirty thousand, six hundred and fifty-one dollars and twenty-seven cents ($130,651.27), from a local pharmacy.
Dorriar Benjamin was charged by officers attached to the Criminal Investigation Department last Friday.
She was granted bail in the total amount of eighty thousand dollars and is due to appear at the St. George’s Magistrate’s Court on February 24th, 2021.
In an unrelated matter, Emerald Creedland, a thirty-five-year-old, Farmer, of Marlmount, St. David, was arrested and charged by detectives attached to the Criminal Investigation Department, St. David, on four counts of Rape, committed against a minor.
He was granted bail in the amount of twenty-five thousand dollars and is due to appear in court on April 13.
Christopher Brathwaite, 40 years, a Bus Conductor, residing at Hope, St. Andrew, was also arrested and charged on four counts of Sexual Intercourse with a minor.
He was granted bail in the amount of forty thousand dollars with two sureties and is scheduled to appear in court on May 10.
Police investigations are ongoing.
