Two men, arrested and charged in relation to the incident where Jason Ganness was killed last Friday, appeared at the Victoria Magistrates’ Court today.

They appeared before Magistrate Francine Foster.

They were arrested and charged in relation to the incident surrounding what’s recorded as Grenada’s third homicide.

34-year-old Kenney Alexander, better known as “Scare Dem” of Queen Street, Victoria, has been remanded to her majesty’s prison.

He was charged for Non-Capital Murder, Attempted Murder, Grievous Harm and Wounding.

The charge of grievous harm slapped on Alexander stems from an unrelated matter that occurred at Gun Battle, Gouyave, on July 17, this year.

The other man, 21-year-old Rick Julien, a Fisherman of Coast Guard, St. Mark, was charged for wounding, and was granted bail to the sum of 7,500 dollars, with one surety.

He’s due to reappear in court on September 9.

Alexander, however, is to return to the No.1 Magistrates’ court in St. George’s on August 18 for mention, and later to reappear at the Victoria Magistrate Court September 9, 2021.
