Grenada One Step Closer To Finalizing The Information Management Digital Protection Policy

A policy which will enable the Grenada Government to strengthen data management and security defenses is close to realization.

The Government is said to be close to finalizing the Information Management Digital Protection Policy.

On this score, the Cabinet of Ministers held their 3rd round of consultations at the parliament building in Mt. Wheldale, with stakeholders and users for the development of the policy.

Cabinet Secretary Ruth Elizabeth Rouse, says the policy engagement will chart the way forward for Grenada to bolster economic growth, embrace digital change and create a balanced transparent environment for its citizens.

According to her, it’s one step closer toward the country’s smart state agenda.

Chief Information Officer in the cabinet office, Imi (e-may) Chitterman, says once the policy is approved and passed in parliament; it will be adopted by ministries and agencies to create standards, for data and information management.
