There’s a new political party on the block..the Grenada Movement (TGM), launched at Spice Basket in Beaulieu yesterday.
Convenors of TGM speak of a group of like-minded, patriotic Grenadians, bonded by the fundamental belief that all citizens deserve a good life, and are entitled to the equitable distribution of resources, irrespective of party, class or creed.
Liberation and freedom with the hope of chartering a new course for Grenada surround the theme of ‘Empowering people and igniting hope for the future’…a concept borne out of the Emancipation struggle.
The party’s launch coincided with yesterday’s annual emancipation holiday occasion.
Spearheading TGM is renowned economist and Grenadian intellectual, Dr. Patrick Antoine, who looks at Grenada trapped economically in the COVID framework, exposing weaknesses that have plagued the country overtime.
Dr. Antione is of the view that inequality has grown during COVID, which according to him needs a confident society with answers.
