Two projects were recently approved for the National Disaster Management Agency (NaDMA) by the Country Directed Fund (CDF) project in collaboration with the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA).

The announcement of the Volunteer Management Project and The Community Emergency Response Team Project were both recently launched.

The aim is to build resilience of the CARIFORUM States to Disaster Risks and Climate Change Impacts.

National Disaster coordinator Dr. Terence Walters says it’s imperative that first responders are equipped with the adequate knowledge of what they’re required to do in case of a disaster.

With grant funding in excess of One Hundred Thousand Euros, Permanent Secretary Attached to Disaster Management Carline Mc Quilkin, outlined how both projects will be implemented.
