CANADA TO PROVIDE BIOMETRIC PROCESSING FOR VISA APPLICATIONS IN GRENADA

Canadian officials will be in Grenada next month, to carry out biometric processing for persons wishing to obtain Canadian visas.

As part of the visa application process, nationals from Grenada must provide biometric information (fingerprints and a photo) when applying for a Canadian visitor visa, study, work, or temporary residence permit, or for permanent residence.

The biometric collection will take place November 6, 9am to 4:30pm and November 7 and 8, 8:30am to 4:30pm, at the True Blue Bay Boutique Resort, Old Mill Road, True Blue Bay, St. George’s.

Individuals planning to travel to Canada for study, business, tourism, family reunions or other reasons, should complete an online visa application in order to take advantage of the opportunity.

The exercise is geared towards Grenadian nationals who anticipate travel to Canada; Persons who have already applied whether online or by mail for a visa, work or study permit or for permanent residence and have received their Biometric Instruction Letter; and, Nationals of other biometric information-required countries residing in Grenada planning to travel to Canada.

Persons are advised that the cut-off date for scheduling an appointment is October 31, 2023, and there are a limited number of appointments available for the three-day collection visit.

The release says appointments will be scheduled on a first come, first served basis, appointment requests will not be accommodated after October 31 unless cancellations are received.

Applications or biometric information will not be collected from applicants who have not received a Biometric Instruction letter.

Outside of this visit, standard procedures remain for Grenadian nationals to travel to biometric collection points in Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, or Trinidad and Tobago.
