One-Time Grenada Youth and Sports Minister, Adrian “Spaceman” Mitchell, will be laid to rest this Thursday.
Mr. Mitchell died at age 71 on the 12th of last month, after battling a lengthy illness.
Spaceman, as he’s commonly called, is well-endowed as an allrounder of a human being, who has a love cherishing people, sports, music and a great disposition for the development of St. Patrick and Grenada as a whole.
One of his parishioners who knew him quite well as a friend and close associate, Clifton “Pablo” Paul, also a former MP for the St. Patrick’s East area, which was represented by Spaceman also, said the man he knows had a great passion for humanity.
Paul remembers their journey together at mornings to Bathway Beach, following medical treatment in Cuba, especially as it concerned Spaceman’s immobility, confined to a wheel chair.
Clifton Paul said Spaceman was motivated to discard the wheelchair and made great efforts to walk and that he did successfully.
Mr. Paul says Spaceman touched lives.
