TODAY HAS BEEN A BIG DAY for young people around the World, the observance of International Youth Day, and Grenada’s youth sector joined in on the occasion.
The global celebration that’s held August 12 annually aims to shed light on the need to enable the engagement of youth, for the purpose of strengthening their capacity and relevance to achieve global action.
This year’s theme: falls within the ambit of ‘Youth Engagement for Global Action’.
Youth Minister here, Kate Lewis, in her presentation at parliament this morning noted the occasion as one of paramount importance towards youth development.
Highlighting and encouraging youth participation in a panel discussion here tomorrow, Lewis indicated that young people throughout the World play a significant part in the maintenance of sustainable development goals.
